ISO certification, also known as ISO accreditation, is the process by which a certification authority grants formal recognition that an organization, product, process, or service meets the criteria established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO is an independent, non-governmental organization that creates and publishes international standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems in a variety of industries and sectors around the world. ISO certification indicates that an organization has adopted and continues to maintain a quality management system (QMS) or other management system standards in compliance with ISO regulations.
