IEC Registration

IEC stands for Importer Exporter Code, and it is a 10-digit code required by businesses or individuals involved in importing or exporting goods and services from India. The IEC is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Process for IEC Registration :-

  1. Create an Account: create one on the DGFT website.
  2. Fill the Online Application Form: Fill in the IEC application form with accurate details. The form typically includes information about the applicant, the business, and the type of goods or services involved in international trade.
  3. Upload Required Documents:

   – Upload the necessary documents to support your application. The documents required may include:

     – PAN card of the applicant

     – Passport-sized photograph

     – Cancelled cheque or bank certificate

     – Address proof of the business (e.g., rent agreement, electricity bill)

     – Details of the business entity (e.g., registration certificate, partnership deed)

  1. Pay the Fee:

   – Pay the required fee for IEC registration. The fee can vary based on the type of entity applying.

  1. Submit the Application:

   – After completing the form and uploading documents, submit the application.

  1. Track Application Status:

   – You can track the status of your IEC application online. Once approved, the IEC certificate will be issued.
