Documents Requirement :-

To register a Society in India, several documents are required. We need 8 members for Society in India. The documentation process involves both personal and office-related information. Here is a list of essential documents:

  1. Member’s Documents:
      • Passport-sized photograph
      • PAN Card
      • Aadhar Card
      • Proof of Residence (Bank Statement, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill)
    1. Registered Office Documents:
      • Proof of Registered Office Address (Conveyance/Lease Deed/Rental Agreement)
      • Water Bill (not older than two months)
      • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the property owner

Steps for Society NGO Registration :-

The process for registering a society varies from nation to country and even within a country’s varied regions; here is an overview of the steps involved in the registration process:

  1. State Objectives and Purpose: Clearly state your society’s objectives and purpose. Determine the activities it will engage in and the impact it hopes to achieve.
  2. Select a Novel Name: – Choose a novel and fitting name for your society. Check to see if the name you’ve picked conforms with any naming rules in your jurisdiction.
  3. Draft a constitution: Create a constitution or bylaws that explain the society’s organization, goals, and rules. Typically, this document contains information regarding membership, governance, meetings, decision-making processes, and dissolution procedures.
  4. Collect Required Information: – Gather information about the founding members’ names, addresses, and jobs. Make a list of the people who will serve on the governing body or board of directors.
  5. Hold a General gathering: Organize a general gathering with prospective members to discuss and vote on the constitution. During this meeting, elect officers, pass motions, and make any required constitution amendments.
  6. Obtain Registration Forms: Obtain the appropriate government department or regulatory authority’s society registration forms. This could be the Registrar of Societies or a comparable office.
  7. Finish Registration Forms: Fill out the registration forms completely and accurately. Provide all necessary information, such as the society’s purpose, governing body, and membership.
